Wordless Wednesday: First Day of Cubs

Julian is a Cub this year! It's his fourth year in Scouting; he loves it.

    Nay saw this and he said ‘hey, that’s julian’ like he was really surprised that Julian would be on my computer.

      It’s a blur effect. I found Jeff & Penelope in the background distracting, but it was the best pic of Julian. I duplicated the layer, did a gaussian blur, and then erased Julian with a large brush, decreasing the opacity to the edges. Super easy trick, took just a few minutes to do.

      And yes, he’s looking pretty grown up! I forget sometimes how big he is.

    How adorable!! Is this his first time in cubs? My nephews were in it and LOVED it!

      He loves it too! He did the full three years of Beavers, and moved up to Cubs this year. He just did his first camping trip (two nights!) and totally loved it.
